The Problem We Solve
Knowledge workers, especially self-directed learners and engineers with ADHD, suffer from theCollector's Fallacy: bookmarking endless tutorials, saving 100+ browser tabs, and writing massive to-do lists, but freezing when it is time to write code.
Standard productivity apps exacerbate this by displaying red overdue badges, complex folder taxonomies, and intimidating backlogs that trigger executive function shutdowns. GoalZen is engineered aroundcalm execution and task initiation:
- Start here Panel: Highlights one task to do right now based on a fixed priority rule (this week's pick → overdue/due today → nearest deadline), completely free of opaque algorithms or generative AI.
- 2-Minute Micro-Sprints: A dedicated 120-second timer designed to bypass dopamine activation hurdles.
- Finish Mode: A rapid triage interface to reschedule, re-date, or resolve overdue tasks without guilt.
- NestMarks Integration: Links saved documentation, bookmarks, and tutorials directly to active tasks by stable ID reference, eliminating context switching.

Founder Story
GoalZen was founded by software engineer Aman Ullah at Amanix Labs. Like many developers with ADHD, Aman spent years battling the endless cycle of tutorial hoarding, over-engineered project boards, and task paralysis.
After realizing that traditional tools are optimized for storing infinite backlogs rather than doing the work, he built GoalZen around a single guiding principle: the tool should help you start, get out of your way, and celebrate shipping.
